Montepulciano
Pretty little town, it is situated between the Val d'Orcia and Val di Chiana. Montepulciano is characteristic for its urban assets: small arches surmount tortuous roads on different levels. This village had a great art flowering in the Sixth century with Poliziano, which has been the most known artist.
Montepulciano, a town and commune in the province of Siena in southern Tuscany, (Italy), is a medieval and renaissance hill town of exceptional beauty. Montepulciano, with an elevation of 605 m (around 2000 ft), sits on a high limestone ridge.

The Nobile from Montepulciano is one of the outstanding traditional Tuscan wines. Sangiovese, here called "prugnolo gentile", combines with canaiolo nero, to produce a masterpiece.
